Mic Meimaroglou’s lifelong passion for electronic music ignited in his youth, captivated by the allure of the synthesizer’s analog soundscapes. As he immersed himself in music production, he discovered that the process of synthesizing and mixing sounds became a powerful medium for self-expression.
In 2010, he unveiled his debut music demo under the moniker “Aithale,” showcasing his distinctive fusion of electronica and techno influences. 2014 marked a pivotal year for Mic, with his first releases on esteemed labels 808 Recordings, Ntrop Recordings, and DMR Digital Italy. He also joined the roster of Affect Recordings Munich, solidifying his presence in the electronic music scene.
Driven by a desire to support the burgeoning Greek contemporary electronic music scene, Mic founded USM Recordings in 2017. His musical output has garnered recognition on various Greek and international media platforms, including BeatSelector, 5 Magazine, Electronic Groove, The Letter, mic.gr, and beater.gr.
In 2023, Mic founded ΣΥΝTHESIS, an electronic music artist collective platform based on Lesvos island. This initiative aims to inspire and expand the electronic music landscape on the island and beyond through events, workshops, conferences, and screenings.
Later that same year, his debut vinyl release “Planet 381” on USM Recordings, a collaboration with AgainstMe, garnered significant attention and widespread support from renowned artists such as Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Marcel Dettman, and many others.
Continuing his dedication to fostering electronic music culture, Mic, in collaboration with his close friend and partner Kostas Sitaras (artist name AgainstMe), organized the international electronic music gathering “Undefined Shapes” on Lesvos island in 2024. The event featured a diverse lineup of local and international acts, including Justine Perry, Paula Koski, Red Rooms, and more.
Mic’s DJ performances are renowned for their seamless blend of ambient textures and hypnotic techno rhythms, creating an immersive and captivating experience for the audience.
